Sixty-Two People Die of Coronavirus in Serbia, 5,103 Newly Infected

Over the past 24 hours 62 people in Serbia died of the coronavirus bringing the death toll to 10,534, the health authorities announced on Nov. 9.

According to the Serbian Institute for Public Health, 5,103 new cases were registered based on 20,428 tested samples. A total of 6,657 people have been hospitalized with the disease while 277 are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic a total of 6,492,623 people have been tested for the virus while 1,192,476 tested positive.

The number of vaccinated people has grown by 70 percent since the introduction of Covid passes, director of the Republic Office for Information Technologies and e-administration Mihailo Jovanovic said on Nov. 9.
