The director of the Galameya Research Institute, Alexander Gintsburg, said that talks were underway about the production of a coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik Light, by Serbia’s Torlak Institute.

In an interview with the Politika daily, published on Feb. 9, Gintsburg said that the use of Sputnik Light had been approved by more than 30 states, and that the monocomponent version of Sputnik V would provide for a universal booster shot.

“It is too early to unveil specific details (…) We are confident that Serbian virologist at the Torlak Institute can give a significant contribution to the global production of the vaccine,” Gintsburg said.
