{Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that the March 22 session of the National Security Council would cover the impact of the war in Ukraine and events in Europe and the world.

Vucic, the presidential candidate of the coalition around the Serbian Progressive Party, told a March 21 campaign rally that the state would take additional steps to ensure sufficient amounts of oil and petroleum products.

He said that talks were ongoing "with our Russian partners, too" to prevent the possibility of what he termed Serbia-bashing because the Petroleum Industry of Serbia's majority owner is a Russian company. "We're looking at how we can overcome that -- offend no-one, hurt no-one, and we have to ensure a future for Serbia and provide safety for every man and every child," Vucic said.

He called on everyone in Serbia, even those who he says have only the worst to say about him, to stand with their compatriots Serbia.
