Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic stated in Belgrade on June 8 that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s announced visit to Belgrade is important for Serbia but that the messages he will bring will be “neither nice, nor easy [to hear].”
The minister also said that he received and accepted an invitation to officially visit Moscow.
“I cannot say when that will happen. The date is being discussed, but the topics [that will be talked about in Moscow] will most certainly be important for Serbia,” Selakovic explained.
Selakovic further recalled that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is currently paying an official visit to Turkey, a member country of NATO and candidate for EU membership.
