The Serbian Election Commission passed on July 11 a decision to approve terms in office to new Members of Parliament (MPs), confirming that a coalition rallied around the Serbian Progressive Party will hold 120 seats in the 250-seat legislature, having won a majority in the new Parliament of Serbia.
The Commission has confirmed 38 terms in office for the coalition United for the Victory of Serbia, 31 for the parties rallied around the Socialist Party of Serbia, 15 for the NADA coalition and 13 seats for the We Must coalition.
The Patriotic Bloc will have 10 seats in the Parliament, and as many go to the Oath Keepers. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians will hold five seats in the Serbian legislature, the Justice and Reconciliation Party will have three, Together for Vojvodina and the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak two each, and the Albanians of the Valley are given one term in office in the new parliament.
The parliamentary polls took place on April 3, but due to repeated voting in the southern Serbian municipality of Veliki Trnovac, the election results weren’t confirmed until July 5.
