A representative of the opposition movement Don't Let Belgrade D(r)own in the future Serbian parliament, Radomir Lazovic, has said that the movement will not take part in the ongoing consultations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the forming of a new cabinet because "no agreement can come out of them."
Asked what he expected from the new government, Lazovic replied that he expected the state to continue retreating before the interests of investors close to the Serbian Progressive Party, privatization of communal services, the withdrawal of the state from healthcare and a silent privatization of that area, etc.
"Don't get me wrong, I am a big optimist [who believes] that we can make this Serbia of ours a good place to live, but certainly not with the people who are currently making decisions. My hope lies in the inclusion of citizens in politics and I am personally fully committed to that, through Don't Let Belgrade D(r)own," Lazovic told the July 15 issue of the Nova newspaper.
