An opposition deputy in the Belgrade City Assembly, Milos Bakovic Jadzic, stated on Aug. 25 that a Council of Expert Advisors had been established for the mayor of Belgrade, and that each advisor will have a salary of RSD160,000.
In a statement published on the portal of the Solidarity Political Platform, which Bakovic Jadzic is a member of, he requested that Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Sapic announces the names of his advisors who would be assigned to the body, explaining that the taxpayers had the right to know "which other cadres of the Serbian Progressive Party they will be paying 160,000 dinars a month out of their own pockets."
"It is particularly alarming that, despite having 26 city secretaries and 13 members of the City Council, the city's entire infrastructure and the personnel potential of several thousand people who cover all the sectors, Sapic is now employing additional 'advisors'," Bakovic Jadzic said.
