European Union mediator Miroslav Lajcak is scheduled to visit Pristina and Belgrade on Sept. 9 accompanied by special advisors to French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, with a view to exploring possibilities for progress in the Belgrade-Pristina dialog, European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano has told BETA.

The lead spokesperson for European External Action Service head Josep Borrell stressed that the European Union welcomed Macron and Scholz's support to the EU-mediated Belgrade-Pristina dialog and the related efforts of EU High Representative Borrell and special envoy Lajcak.

Lajcak, Jens Ploetner and Emmanuel Bonne, the foreign and security policy advisors to Macron and Scholz respectively, are slated to meet with Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti in Pristina, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.

European diplomatic officials in Brussels have told BETA that the EU absolutely insisted on the categorical implementation of all agreements reached throughout the dialog, including the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities.
