A delegation headed by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) governor and Serbia’s governor at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Jorgovanka Tabakovic, will attend the Annual Meeting of the IMF and the World Bank Group in Washington, from Oct. 10 to Oct. 16.
The Serbian central bank reported on Oct. 10 that the main themes at the meeting would be the world economy prospects and key economic challenges amidst rising geopolitical tensions. The energy crisis and climate and development goals will be discussed as well, and the IMF Managing Director is expected to present her Global Policy Agenda.
The Serbian delegation will meet with the IMF and WB leaders to discuss the current and expected macroeconomic trends in Serbia, and will have a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of numerous institutions and investors, in order to promote the potentials of Serbian economy. A separate meeting will be held with representatives of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, at the initiative of the bank.
