Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is spending Dec. 21 on a working visit to Azerbaijan, where he will discuss cooperation between the two country’s defense industries.
According to Vucic’s official Instagram profile, he has already met with Defense Industry Minister Madat Guliyev and toured Baku’s famous Heydar Aliyev Center. The president’s agenda also includes a sit-down with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
Emphasizing Serbia’s “sincerely friendly relations” with Azerbaijan, Vucic wrote that talks of exchanging military technology are already under way and added that other important conversations with Azerbaijan’s leadership are on his agenda, including a discussion regarding the energy sector.
Vucic’s return visit comes less than a month after Ilham Aliyev travelled to Belgrade, where seven bilateral agreements between the two countries were signed.
