Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Jan. 9 that his attendance of the Republika Srpska Day celebration in East Sarajevo was not directed against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"I do not know why that would be directed against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Republika Srpska is not just a creation of our people. It is also a Dayton creation, a constitutional creation... It was the only way for Bosnia and Herzegovina to survive as a state. It was founded on three equal peoples and entities. Why one entity was formed and not two more, that is a whole other question," Dacic told Happy TV.
Republika Srpska celebrates Jan. 9 as Republika Srpska Day, which the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has declared unconstitutional.
