A Member of Parliament, Djordje Miketic, won the Together (Zajedno) Party’s primary elections for a candidate to run for the post of Belgrade’s mayor.

In the first party primaries for Belgrade mayorship, more than 6,000 Belgraders voted for seven Zajedno candidates.

Addressing journalists together with the other candidates and the co-president of Zajedno, Nebojsa Zelenovic, promised that they would continue to work as a team.

According to Miketic, Zajedno wants the capital free of criminal urban planning and urban chaos, and instead a green global metropolis where people will be able to earn an honest living.

Another party co-chair, Biljana Stojkovic, said that the party, having organized the first primary elections in history, wanted to show how to defeat a party-state and contribute to the democratization of society.
