Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti will continue talks under the EU-brokered dialogue in Brussels in the evening on May 2, focusing on implementation of the Agreement on the path to normalization between Kosovo and Serbia.

The joint meeting of Vucic, Kurti, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak is scheduled to start at 6 pm.

According to an announcement on the European External Action Service (EEAS) website, the meeting will focus on the implementation of the document, agreed on by Vucic and Kurti in Ohrid [North Macedonia] on March 18.

The Parties are expected to endorse the Declaration on Missing Persons as a first agenda item, to be followed by the presentation of and a discussion on the first draft statute of the Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities in Kosovo, according to EEAS.

The parties will also have the opportunity to discuss current issues of political importance. After the meeting, Borrell will give a press statement.

The May 2 round of talks will be held amid latest Belgrade-Pristina tension rising over snap elections recently held in four Serb-majority municipalities in North Kosovo. The voter turnout was around 3.5 percent.

The biggest dispute between the parties remains creation of the Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, which has recently been deemed as necessary also by representative of the major western countries.
