Serbian Army Chief-of-Staff Milan Mojsilovic demanded on June 23 that KFOR Command take “urgent measures” to protect the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
In a special public address focusing on the latest developments in Kosovo and Metohija, Mojsilovic said that the Serbs in the province “have been exposed to a horrific pogrom by the regime of [Kosovo Premier] Albin Kurti.”
“Serbs are the targets of Kurti’s regime on a daily basis, while their only fault is their Serbian first and last names and their desire not to leave their hearths. The terror they have been exposed to by Kurti’s regime can no longer be endured even physically,” Mojsiloviv said in Belgrade.
He stressed that, in accordance with the Serbian Constitution and the U.N. Charter, the Serbian Army, “if ordered by the supreme commander, will fully execute all tasks in regard to the overall security situation.” “The Serbian Army has been executing all obligations stemming from U.N. Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement (also known as the Kumanovo Agreement), while today it is obvious that the international community has not been fulfilling its obligations,” Mojsilovic stressed.
