The deputy president of North Mitrovica’s Municipal Assembly, Skender Sadiku, stated on Sept. 6 that all communities in the northern municipalities were tired of the tense situation there and that everyone, including the Serb community, was looking for a solution that would end the tension.
He told the KTV television that the current situation was abnormal, and that this also referred to the mayors of the four municipalities in the north. “I would not be in the shoes of the mayors, because they are in an abnormal state. We have seen how fragile these elections are,” he stated.
Sadiku also said that, at the level of Kosovo as well as that of municipalities, attention should also be given to communities other than the Albanians and the Serbs, which have been, as he said, neglected.
