On Sept. 15 Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia was stronger than ever -- not only in terms of its military might, but in every other way as well.

Speaking in Nis, where he attended a munitions and Army of Serbia capability display on the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, he stressed that Serbia was stronger with more hospitals, more kilometers of highway, more factories, jobs, a better standard of living and more schools.

"Serbia today is a different country than it was only ten years ago," Vucic stressed. He also said that the Army of Serbia would be given considerable resources i.e. munitions and equipment and that Serbia would jealously protrect its neutrality.

He also said that the lack of headway in negotiations in Brussels was caused by Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti not wanting them to progress. The Serbian president said Kurti did not want any agreement that would oblige him to form the Community of Serb Municipalities before Kosovo was informally recognized.
