Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Aug. 3 that his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron and he had discussed bilateral relations and regional matters, especially current events in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that Serbia "remains committed to all processes aimed at preserving peace, cooperation and prosperity," which he told Macron in a telephone conversation. "I stressed our dedication to dialogue and following international law, and our readiness to contribute to the long-term stability of the region," the post read further.
The Serbian president said on Aug. 2 that the Serbian National Security Council had adopted conclusions that included comments on a recent verdict by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, describing the verdict as "undemocratic, anti-civilizational and immoral" and as a serious political assault on the Serb people in Bosnia and the Dayton Accords. Addressing the public after the National Security Council session, Vucic said Dodik would not be arrested in Serbia if Bosnia and Herzegovina issues a warrant for his arrest.
