On election day, Dec. 17, a total of 8,273 polling stations will be open in Serbia, Republic Electoral Commission President Vladimir Dimitrijevic said on Dec. 15.
In an interview with public broadcaster RTS, Dimitrijevic pointed out that a record number of observers would be at polling stations this year - 5,587 people from the country and abroad.
"In four foreign states, voting will be held tomorrow (Dec. 16) according to local time, while in others it will be on Sunday (Dec. 17)," said Dimitrijevic, adding that the results would not be announced until all the polling stations in Serbia were closed.
According to Dimitrijevic, the Republic Electoral Commission has 96 hours after the receipt of the last collective results to declare the final results of the vote, and that they will be known by the New Year.
