The electoral ticket of the “Focus – Republic” coalition in the forthcoming election for Croatia’s Sabor (parliament), scheduled for Apr. 17, will include nine candidates from Serbia, and the goal of the coalition is to advocate equal rights for all Croats, regardless of whether they lived in Croatia or elsewhere.
The deputy president of the Democratic Community of Croats in Subotica and the head of the “Focus – Republic” coalition’s ticket, Tomislav Stantic, told reporters on Apr. 10 that the Croat diaspora did not have the proper opportunity to participate in political processes in Croatia, and that some of them did not have the right to participate even within the Croat community itself.

Things are not better in Croatia, either, because we have had identical political elites on both sides of the border for 30 years now,” Stantic assessed.
