New Government of North Macedonia Will Be Known on June 18

The designate prime minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, announced on June 12 that he would present the composition and work program of the future government to the parliament on June 18.

Mickoski told reporters that the new coalition government of North Macedonia would consist of members of his party VMRO-DPMNE, the “Your Macedonia” coalition, the Albanian coalition “Vredi” and the “I Know” political party.

Mickoski has announced that, on June 16, the top organs of his VMRO-DPMNE party would confirm their personnel solutions in the future government, but that he could not say who the other coalition partners would nominate.

Mickoski was given the mandate to form the future government of North Macedonia on June 6, with a deadline of 20 days to propose the program and composition of his cabinet. The new parliamentary majority, consisting of the “Your Macedonia” coalition around the VMRO-DPMNE, the Albanian coalition “Vredi” and the movement “I Know – For Our Macedonia” has 78 seats in the Sobranje (parliament) of North Macedonia that has 120 seats.
