Vucic for Politika: In Opposition’s View People Are always Guilty

Vucic: I have courage to solve Kosovo issue

"Regardless of how convincingly they [the opposition] keep losing elections, the people are always guilty, because we, the stupid part of Serbia, as opposed to them understand nothing and thus cannot make proper decisions," Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic wrote in an opinion piece for the Politika daily titled "Elite and Plebs."

Vucic added that in the past days and weeks the line of, according to him, every political civility and basic decency has been crossed in an all-out campaign of disparaging all those who think differently from the people who have gotten in their heads that for some reason they are the elite, the thinking and socially and mentally emancipated segment of Serbian society.

"After all, just look at them and ask yourself what sort of giants they are being led by such intellectual luminaries like Trifunovic, Obradovic and Djilas, Jeremic included, who undoubtedly possess the highest knowledge, unwavering honesty and divine morality," Vucic wrote.

He also added that "they are obviously nervous because their revolution is failing, while the popular support is inversely proportional to the destructive efforts they are daily resorting to."
