Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on March 25 that, in less than 10 days, the state would come forward with a proposal of measures for helping the private sector, which is facing the toughest consequences of the corona virus pandemic.
"We will bring good measures. Nobody will be able to cover their non-liquidity or insolvency from the previous period, but losses will be much smaller than what is currently predicted," Vucic stated in the Stark Arena, where he visited the people who make aid packages for the elderly who cannot go out because of the pandemic.
He said the public sector was also in jeopardy, but still in a much better position than in some countries in the neighborhood, because of which the state would try to help the private sector with a package worth several billion, so that it could sustain itself and remain competitive.
