Banjaluka Company Calls Tender for Design of Banjaluka-Prijedor Highway

Banjaluka-based company Everit has called a tender for exploratory works and design of a future highway from Banjaluka to Prijedor. The tender documentation reads that the selected designer is obligated to conduct a complete geological survey and all the geological work, to make a preliminary design, main design, detailed design, land expropriation plan, feasibility study, determine location conditions and obtain a construction permit. The designer will also be asked to cooperate on the environmental impact assessment, cooperate with designers during the changes being made to the design, and to complete an application and deliver it to the government of Republika Srpska. The deadline for submitting bids in this tender is Sept. 19, while the chosen designer is obligated to complete the feasibility study and preliminary design by the start of December and hand the RS government all the required technical documentation on location conditions, the Nezavisne Novine daily reports. The RS government has granted Chinese company SDHS-CSI BH a concession for the construction of the Banjaluka-Prijedor highway, some 42 kilometers long. The project is worth EUR297m, while the concession was granted in December 2018 for a period of 33 years.
