Serbian National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic has said that she has not received an answer from European partners and institutions about whether they will continue to stay silent in the face of "blockaders' terror," rather only confirmation that they have received the letters she sent them on July 31 containing a request that they take a stance on the matter.

"My question is whether they will continue to stay silent. So far I have only received confirmation of receipt of my letters but unfortunately no reaction. But silence is also a kind of reaction," Brnabic told Prva TV on Aug. 1.

She explained that in the letters she had "taxatively listed all that we in Serbia are suffering because of the blockaders and the former authorities, which is practically the same bloc, all that I find not to be in line with European values, quite the opposite."

"That could be seen on the European continent in the 1930s in Nazi Germany. Those are some phalanges that arrive outside people's apartments, where they live with their families, making threats and calling for lynching," Brnabic said.
