Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on April 6 that the delivery of 10 clinical and three transport ventilators to the hospital in Novi Pazar shows that it does not matter if a patient is a Serb or a Bosniak because the government will fight for the health of all.

Following a meeting with the representatives of the local Crisis Headquarters, the president said that the hospital in Novi Pazar has also received 22,000 surgical and 3,000 epidemiological masks, thousands of protective gloves and 250 protective suits.

“I’ve come to tell the people of Novi Pazar that we are in this difficult fight together. We have brought great help to Novi Pazar, a gift that will last and not just for the duration of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, because we want the people of this city to know that we care for their health,” said Vucic, recalling that 22 people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in this town, three of whom are children.

Serbian Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Minister Rasim Ljajic said that Vucic’s visit is important not only because of the delivered equipment, but because this is the president’s first visit to one of Serbian municipalities since the beginning of the epidemic.
