Train Carrying Medical Equipment from China Arrives in Serbia

A China Railway train carrying medical equipment which Serbia had purchased from China to combat Covid-19 arrived in Belgrade on May 26, according to a release on the Serbian government’s website.

The cargo includes face masks, protective suits, gloves, safety goggles, face shields, and other equipment. The freight train, consisting of 42 wagons, was welcomed by Chinese nationals working on the Belgrade-Stara Pazova railway modernization project, who waived Chinese and Serbian national flags.

The slogan written on wagons in Serbian and Chinese read: “China Railway congratulates brotherly country of Serbia on success in combating the epidemic.”
