The scandals surrounding the Krusik arms factory, Jovanjica farm and Telecom Serbia should be resolved as high-profile cases, and it is equally necessary to achieve justice in the case of the controversial nighttime demolition of buildings in Belgrade's Savamala district, one of the amendments to Member of European Parliament (MEP) Vladimir Bilcik's report on Serbia that N1 TV examined says.

"Serbia is urged to show convincing results...in the fight against corruption and organized crime, especially in high-profile cases, including Krusik, Jovanjica and Telecom Serbia," the amendment says.

The European Parliament has condemned public attacks and hate speech directed at the chair of the Stabilization and Association Committee, Tanja Fajon, together with other MPs, political opponents, independent media outlets and journalists in the Serbian legislature. The Committee will vote on the amendments and the report on Feb. 23, and the EP will do so in plenary on March 24 and March 25.
