Freedom and Justice Party Deputy President Borko Stefanovic has sent a letter to the ambassadors of Western states, in which he pointed out that the recent elections in Serbia ended "with numerous irregularities and a disruption of the election will of the citizens."

Daily Danas reported that in the letter Stefanovic said the election results were "something that should be a cause for concern," and stressed that the Freedom and Justice Party saw them "as an alarm of sorts regarding Serbia's European future."

"Our forecasts were accurate and the result of the parliamentary elections has shown that the parties which condemned Serbia's vote in the U.N. General Assembly to condemn Russia for the aggression against Ukraine will have 31 percent of support in the Assembly of Serbia, while the parties that support Serbia in the EU will have less than 25 percent," states the conclusion of the letter.

Stefanovic sent the letter a few days ago to the ambassadors of EU member states in Belgrade, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret and U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill. He told Danas that the letter was part of the party's international activities, in which members of the international community are informed about events in Serbia.

"The just completed elections in Serbia were neither fair, nor free, nor democratic, and showed that the inter-party dialogue (IPD) under the auspices of the European Parliament had not brought any formal or essential progress or improvement in election conditions," he added.

He also said that "in this campaign, too, Serbia was faced with an unequal treatment of the authorities and the opposition in the media, pressure on voters, complete dominance of the ruling party and Mr. Vucic in the regime's media." He also highlighted "a persecution and smear campaign against the opposition."
