Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on April 17 that she did not know when a new cabinet would be assembled because that depended on the parliamentary majority and pace of coalition talks.
She told Prva TV that she would not say whom the Serbian Progressive Party would sit down to talk with first, but did say that "Aleksandar Vucic was crystal clear" when he said the League of Vojvodina Hungarians would remain a partner.
Brnabic also would not discuss the possibility of Socialist Party of Serbia leader Ivica Dacic being prime minister, stressing that "it isn't the office, but the stability Aleksandar Vucic brings Serbia that is important. "A team that shares the same vision of development until 2026 or longer is more important, and we should not care who is in which office. It is all up to the party president and party bodies. The most important thing is to preserve peace and stability," Brnabic said.
The prime minister said the results of repeated voting had shown how things truly stood -- that the people wanted Vucic and the Progressive party to lead Serbia adding that the Progressives would be able to set up a city government in the capital.
