Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said on July 21 that Pristina was arming its Kosovo Security Force with powerful systems in order to transform it into a Kosovo army, which was "the most flagrant violation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Kumanovo Agreement."
"Aside from drones, as a donation from Turkey, they have also received other systems - howitzers, mortars, a very powerful anti-armor system, offensive systems. They are sending their commissioned and non-commissioned officers to be educated in various countries of the NATO pact, they also have joint maneuvers," Vucevic told Prva TV.
Vucevic also said that Pristina's arms "cannot compare to the military potential of the Serbian Armed Forces, but those are clear indications that they have a strategy of development of their own army in Kosovo."
With that said, he added, Serbia must establish its own operative plans, additionally train the army and set up military equipment systems adequate to the potential threat.
