Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti have been invited to a series of individual meetings with several European leaders on Oct. 26, EU Spokesman Peter Stano announced on Oct. 25.

“The idea is to have these meetings on the sidelines of the EU summit, so as to support a return to dialogue. We expect both sides, Serbia and Kosovo, to immediately and unconditionally return to the obligations that stem from the dialogue, to immediately work on de-escalation and the resumption of dialogue,” Stano said.

He added that there would not be a meeting between Vucic and Kurti and that meetings with individual EU leaders represented the continuing of the process that started last weekend, when the “big five” visited Pristina and Belgrade. Stano did not elaborate on which leaders Kurti and Vucic would meet with.

Radio Free Europe (RFE) reported, quoting its sources, that the leaders in question were German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
