The Working Group for Enhancing Serbia’s Electoral Conditions has thoroughly reviewed all the recommendations made by the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and has agreed on what steps will next be taken toward implementing these points, the Government stated late on March 4.

In its final report on Serbia’s December 2023 elections, the ODIHR made 25 recommendations for improving the country’s voting process.

At the task group’s invitation, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended its March 4 meeting, which also included representatives of the ODIHR and the EU Delegation to Serbia, the statement said.

Brnabic took the opportunity to thank the ODIHR for its “institutional collaboration,” which began in 2019, as well as for its report and professionalism in the wake of Serbia’s last elections.

The press release went on to say that the working group will hold additional meetings over the next few days “so as to implement the ODIHR’s recommendations as soon as possible.”
