The Serbian power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije joint stock company (EPS) has announced a tender for a company that would transport coal by railway from the Port of Constanta, Romania, to Vreoci, Serbia.

EPS is intending to sign a one-year contract worth around 1.3 billion dinars (EUR11 million), Nova Ekonomija reported on March 6.

The company that wins the tender will have to transport a maximum of 200,000 tons of coal, by rail, for the account of EPS.

In August last year, EPS signed a one-year contract for transporting 150,000 tons of coal from Constanta to Vreoci with the Srbija Cargo joint stock company for the rail transportation of cargo and the Cargo Trans Vagon from Bucharest, worth EUR7.8 million.
