Serbia's goal is for flying cars to start being used in the country by 2027, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Davos on Jan. 20, adding that he had discussed this with the representatives of the Archer company on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.

Vucic told Serbian media outlets that Archer was "one of the best known [companies] that deal in flying automobiles, unmanned aircraft and flying trains."

"We have begun to negotiate the purchase of at least three aircraft and we are also talking with our Chinese friends, who have developed a lot already and have flying cars in several cities. We'll rush to try and get everything related to preparations and regulations done by mid-2026, so we can ride in flying cars in 2027," Vucic said.

Earlier on Jan. 20, Vucic posted on Instagram that, while in Davos, he spoke briefly with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab and managing director Mirek Dusek, and Council of Europe general secretary Alain Berset.
