Election day in Kosjeric was neither free nor fair, while in Zajecar the results do not reflect the will of the people as severe irregularities were recorded at 19 percent of polling stations, the statement noted.

June 8, election day in Kosjeric and Zajecar, was marked by various mechanisms of control of and pressure on voters, including manipulation that has taken root due to passing with consequence in the last few election cycles, CRTA said.

Characteristics of the election campaign, which encompassed tension, pressure, abuse of institutions and public resources, electoral ticket engineering, aggressive conflation of state, party and president and normalization of escalating violence, clearly indicated that voting day would unfold in an inflammatory and oppressive atmosphere, CRTA stated.
