Parliament speaker Ana Brnabic on Aug. 19 said that phase one of “the color revolution” in Serbia was over, noting and that its goal was to cause hatred and a deep division in the society, adding that phase two - “terror and violence” - was currently underway as a preparation for phase three.

Brnabic told reporters at the Parliament building that phase two implied demolition, smashing and burning of premises of parties of political opponents, primarily the Serbian Progressive Party, and also burning of state and local institutions - prosecutor's offices, courts, city municipalities - in order “to create an image of complete chaos, complete loss of control and complete destabilization in our country".

Brnabic claims that all of this has been done in order to move onto “phase three of the color revolution”, when certain people will appear who will “impose a solution ostensibly to restore peace and stability”, citing as an example a non-paper of Dusan Janjic, director of the Ethical Relations Forum, which he has allegedly sent to the international community offering a solution for overcoming the crisis in Serbia.

According to Brnabic, a picture has been made that restoring peace and stability in the country where chaos has been created would require a foreign intervention.

She said the non-paper proposes a solution envisaging putting the Serbian president, the Parliament, security and intelligence structures, the National Security Council, and the State Data Center under full control and supervision... Brnabic said it meant depriving all Serbia’s citizens of sovereignty, stressing that “foreigners” should rather not even think about taking about this or any similar document.
