Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic arrived in Uzbekistan on Oct. 28 for a several-day official visit.
He received a ceremonial welcome at the airport in capital Tashkent, and is scheduled to meet with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev later during the day.
The two presidents will attend the signing of a number of bilateral documents, while meetings of the two countries’ delegation are also on the agenda.
Vucic is also scheduled to have separate meetings with Tanzila Norbaeva, the chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan, and other country’s top officials, as well as with representatives of local companies interested in investing in Serbia.
The Serbian president will also attend the 43rd UNESCO General Conference, in Samarkand.
The Serbian delegation includes Culture Minister Nikola Selakovic, Domestic and Foreign Trade Minister Jagoda Lazarevic, Nenad Popovic, minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad, and Mihailo Jovanovic, the head of the IT and eGovernment Office.
Vucic is staying in Uzbekistan until Oct. 31.
