Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul will be arriving in Belgrade on Nov. 17 as part of his three-day tour of the Western Balkan Six.

Wadephul has a sit-down with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic scheduled for the evening of the 17th, while he will be meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric, and representatives of civil society the following morning.

The German minister began his tour in Sarajevo on Nov. 16. Before arriving in Belgrade, Wadephul will spend the morning of Nov. 17 in Montenegro meeting with Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic.

After that, Wadephul will take the afternoon to visit Albania and see Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali and the head of the country’s Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), which combats corruption, organized crime and terrorism.

Wadephul’s visit to Belgrade ends around noon on Nov. 18, when he will leave for Pristina. There, the German diplomat will sit down with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti, the head of Kosovo’s caretaker government. Wadephul will also meet with the German contingent within KFOR, the NATO-led mission in Kosovo.

The minister’s tour will end in the evening of the 18th in North Macedonia, where he will speak with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski.

The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated Berlin’s full commitment to the Western Balkan’s Eurointegration and has stated that this is evidenced by Wadephul’s current tour.
