The upcoming local elections in three municipalities will be difficult for the ruling Serbian Progressive party because the tickets submitted by the country’s protesting university students hold the majority of voter support, Progressive leader Milos Vucevic said on Nov. 27.
“These elections are difficult for us and our ticket, we understand that the blockaders are frontrunners and have the lead. We will provide a worthy political response and fight to win,” Vucevic told Pink TV.
In the former prime minister’s opinion, the public should vote for those who “solve problems” not those who “blow whistles.”
The local elections in Negotin, Secanj and Mionica are scheduled for Nov. 30.
