Serbian Progressive Party leader Milos Vucevic on Jan. 6 said, citing results of opinion polls, that his party was still the strongest political organization in Serbia.
“People can make a distinction between those who wanted to save the state and those who tried to block it. Citizens understand who was working hard and making decisions in the most difficult moments, and who was trying to inflict enormous damage,” Vucevic told Belgrade daily Blic.
He also said that a candidate for the next presidential election would be elected within the Progressives ranks, noting that the decision would be guided by the interests of the state and the people.
“The most important things include ensuring continued development of our country and a better living standard for the citizens, and preserving the stability, because it is what is crucial for Serbia and its future - the policy of a strong, stable and independent Serbia,” Vucevic said.
