Attorney Bozo Prelevic said on March 12 that the up-coming elections were a watershed moment and that the authorities were attempting to secure a victory using institutional instruments and staff changes in the police and prosecutors' offices despite a drop in support.
"The changes in the police and judiciary are actually a 'crew being put together' that is supposed to support Vucic's troops on the ground. They are making a team whose mission is going to be to give legitimacy to irregular elections," Prelevic told Nedeljnik.
He said that "there is already a scenario here that is being repeated: added voters, double ID cards, pressures on voters and most bizarrely, the compromising of tickets that are not his." "There are definitely going to be fake student tickets and tickets made up by those who have been benched as reserve players, who are now supposed to play the role of 'hangnails' and various 'Nestorovics.' These are reserve players, well paid to make things more complicated," Prelevic warned.
