The Serbian Monarchist Party and the Russian Party, which have one member of parliament each, signed a cooperation protocol on Apr. 6.

The document was signed by Igor Braunovic on behalf of the Serbian Monarchist Party and Slobodan Nikolic on behalf of the Russian Party.

The protocol provides for cooperation "through the same parliamentary group, coordination and alignment of positions on key national issues, with mutual support for initiatives of shared interest, as well as through the promotion of joint projects aimed at connecting relevant actors from Serbia and Russia."

"This cooperation comes naturally, as Igor Braunovic is the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Russia, and Slobodan Nikolic is his deputy. Both MPs, as well as their parties, maintain common positions regarding BRICS and international relations," the Serbian Monarchists said in a statement.

At the beginning of April, the Russian Party, on behalf of the broader coalition Serbian-Russian Front, signed a cooperation agreement with Russia’s far-right nationalist, populist Liberal Democratic Party, and announced similar cooperation with Belarus parties.
