Student Ticket candidate and professor at the Belgrade School of Philosophy Oliver Toskovic said on Oct. 8 that the ticket was assessing whom it could cooperate with after elections, but that coalitions are not being discussed yet and that this would be a subject for after the elections.
“We will talk about this after elections – when we know that we have succeeded in protecting the integrity of the electoral process and the right of Serbia’s citizens to choose,” Toskovic told the latest edition of Nedeljnik. Asked what the “red lines” of a compromise on potential cooperation were, Toskovic said that they were in the Student Ticket’s program’s main messages.
“Anyone who wants to fight corruption and endorses and participates in strengthening institutions, decriminalizing society, the depoliticization of companies, raising the transparency of public policy and creating a socially responsible state that takes care of its citizens is welcome,” he said.
He said that Student Ticket is focusing at this time on its campaign and motivating citizens to vote, as well as the struggle to have elections held in the most regular conditions possible. “To raise control and reduce the incumbent authorities’ manipulations with the electoral will of citizens. We are trying to get this message across to everyone, everyone, including former and potential Serbian Progressive Party voters, for us to fight for all of them. We are fighting so that they can vote freely, to not be bought, blackmailed, harassed, forced,” Toskovic said.
