Sarajevo Air World’s Most Polluted, Belgrade Ranked Third

Sarajevo is currently the city with the most polluted air in the world, and the air quality in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is classified as “very unhealthy,” according to the Iqair.com website.

The second place on the list of world cities with the most polluted air is Kolkata, India – where the air is also categorized as “very unhealthy,” while Belgrade is the third, with its air categorized as “unhealthy.”

According to air quality figures at 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 19, Sarajevo and Belgrade are ranked worse than Dhaka in Bangladesh, which is ranked fourth, Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan and New Delhi in India, which are often heading the list.

Among others in the region, and also among the top ten most polluted cities, is the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje – ranked eighth on this list.
