Shoppster is a unique online and TV store, setting the standards for e-commerce, Ljiljana Ahmetovic has told BETA.

“Shoppster is a unique online and TV store. On TV and Shoppster YouTube channel customers can see what products look like and learn about their purpose, but also once they decide to buy a product and upon its delivery - they are not limited to instructions for use, because our experienced managers, conversant with certain types of products, are also at their disposal” she said.

In the show, they demonstrate how a product is used and share their experience and impressions with viewers. Customers can then call the contact center or visit the website and order the product they want.

“If the Serbian e-commerce market is compared with peer markets in the region, we will see that it is still less developed. However, it seems that the market has been growing and Shoppster has in many ways been setting the standard for e-commerce. I can confidently say that before Shoppster was launched, there had not been many online stores offering a wide range of products in one place - with a high level of security,” she stressed.

According to her, customers who frequently purchase and are large basket shoppers can take full advantage of online shopping as they are entitled to savings and can join the Shoppster Smart loyalty program.

Talking about the strategic partnership with Sportina Group, she said this partnership and their experienced and professional team allows Shoppster to set the highest standards in online sales in this category and provide customers with the best experience.

“Sportina is widely recognized as the largest retailer in the fashion industry in Southeast Europe, selling more than 90 well-known fashion brands in 11 countries in the region,” she said.

Through long-term cooperation with Sportina Group, we will provide to our customers diverse and attractive offers of world-famous fashion brands for women and men on Shoppster online and TV stores in Slovenia, Serbia, and other countries that join our integrated store.

Customers have the opportunity to order products from 14 world-famous brands, including Tom Taylor, Superdry, Armani Exchange, Jack & Jones, Fracomina, and many other famous labels. She noted that fashion is the fastest-growing category in e-commerce in Europe and the world.

Changes in consumer shopping habits in the world are already visible and this trend has been slowly coming to Serbia. The Covid-19 pandemic has played a major role and many customers have started to buy clothes and footwear online.

“Our focus is to follow the habits of our clients and understand their lifestyle. Together with experts from Sportina, we constantly provide attractive offers of clothing, footwear and accessories at the Shoppster online and TV stores. Of course, special offers are prepared for our loyalty program members,” Ahmetovic added.

According to her, Shoppster is a platform where small brands can find their marketplace. “We are incredibly proud to have included on our platform small suppliers as we believe that many producers in Serbia and Slovenia have high-quality products.”

But, many of them lack experience in online shopping or funds to set up their own online store, promote their brand and position themselves in the market. It is why Shoppster has set aside resources and dedicated a team to provide continued support to these partners.

In Serbia, we have pursued this practice for some time now and today we can proudly speak of excellent cooperation with small suppliers, she said.

Small and micro businesses are given the opportunity to become one of the Shoppster suppliers or create their online store on our platform, using the marketplace model with the help of the Shoppster team.

“Being aware that many of them have no experience with online sales, we wanted to empower them by providing them with a fully formed store and know-how.”

The Shoppster team advises them how to market their products on the platform, which are optimal stocks for each product, how to handle returns and complaints, about the necessary technical settings, how to best present a product/brand online, how to prepare for a TV presentation, and how to take advantage of e-commerce sales without any additional investment.

They get everything above-mentioned free of charge.

Talking about next steps in the development of the Shoppster platform, Ahmetovic said they would include monitoring of customers behavior on the platform, their reactions and comments.

“We have been working on developing new features that will make shopping even easier and more enjoyable. We have been preparing new offers, new products, including packaged food. Furthermore, we have been organizing quicker and more convenient deliveries, including same-day delivery,” she stressed.

As the only integrated online and TV store in Serbia and Slovenia, Shoppster is also eying to expand to other countries in the region, primarily Bulgaria, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
