North Macedonian Government to Give Companies EUR53.4m for New Investments

New contracts have been signed with 38 companies, along with 10 annexes to existing contracts, with a total investment cycle of EUR53.4m. 

The deputy prime minister of North Macedonia in charge of economic affairs, coordination with economic departments and investments, Fatmir Bytyqi, held a press conference with Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi, where they presented the data related to the state aid agreements signed with the companies, the Kapital portal (kapital.mk) reports, which had applied for measures of the Law on financial support to investment for 2020. 

Where the size of the companies is concerned, the officials underscored that they were mostly small enterprises (up to 50 employees), of which there were 20 in total (or 53%), followed by medium-sized enterprises – 10 (26%), five micro companies (13%), while there were just three (8%) big companies.
