Car maker FCA Serbia is on July 22 marking the successful implementation of a project at the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac, which pertains to the start of production of the Fiat Grande Panda electric car.

The ceremony will be attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis which is the majority owner of the Kragujevac car factory.

The new model comes in two versions - electric and hybrid. It's a B-segment car, less than four meters long.

Serial production of electric cars at the Kragujevac factory, where the Republic of Serbia is a minority owner, should kick off in two months.

The new Fiat Grande Panda is inspired by the model from the 1980s which, according to Stellantis, marks the return of the Fiat brand to the global market.

The price of the electric Fiat Grande Panda is less than 25,000 euros, while with state subsidies the base model will cost 18,000 euros in Serbia.

This model uses a unique multi-energy platform and includes innovative solutions, such as an integrated spiral charging cable.
