Minimum Wage To Be Raised To RSD143 Per Hour Next Year

From Oct. 1, the minimum wage in Serbia would go up by 9.4 percent, from EUR457 to EUR500 euros, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Sept. 30.

Speaking to state public broadcaster RTS, Mali recalled that the Government had also agreed with trade unions and employers a regular minimum wage increase of 10.1 percent as of Jan. 1, 2026.

“It means that from Jam. 1, the minimum wage will amount to EUR551. Cumulatively, it is an increase of 37 percent, the highest ever rise in the national minimum wage over a period of one year,” the minister said.
