The Galenika pharmaceutical company has purchased a 100 percent stake in Slovenia's Sanofarm, thereby additionally solidifying its position in the Slovenian and Croatian markets and continuing its strategic expansion in the EU, a Jan. 29 statement said.
The takeover also makes Galenika the exclusive distributor of Italian Pharmalife Research and ESI products in Slovenia, as well as the Pharmalife brand in Croatia.
"Since Galenika joined the Brazilian NC Group Galenika we have been continuously working to strengthen our international presence and develop our portfolio in accordance with the modern needs of users. The Sanofarm acquisition poses an important step in the future internationalization of our business dealings and continues the partnership with the Pharmalife Research company while expanding our offer with Italian ESI brand products," Galenika GM Ricardo Vian Marques said, adding that ESI was a renowned producer of phytotherapeutic and dietary products.
Sanofarm is a distributor of dietary supplements and phytotherapeutic products in Slovenia and Croatia. The assumption of its portfolio by Galenika is part of the company's plans to strengthen and increase the availability of quality products and enhance its offer to consumers in these markets.
