The Novi Sad Higher Prosecutor’s Office has finally launched an investigation into possible corruption in the process of revamping the city’s main railway station, after full three months during which critics of the Aleksandar Vucic regime kept claiming that the collapse of an overhang at the station is a direct result of corruption. Although this is a step forward, the question remains whether the investigation will actually establish responsibility for the collapse in which 15 people died and two more were seriously injured.
